Workshop
Malika, will give an overview of open research practices and argue that to make your research the most credible and the most likely to replicate, you can engage with preregistration, to increase the reliability of the research, and with a finite set of computing tools, to increase the reproducibility of your workflow. This presentation serves as an introduction to many of the workshops we offer (which can also be completed asynchronously).
We will review what detailed information preregistrations and registered reports should contain. We will also collectively discuss the benefits and disadvantages of embracing such practices, as well as possible fear and concerns, in a structured academic debate. Finally, we will look into how to preregister in practice on the Open Science Framework, and practice the level of precision needed in a preregistration by peer-reviewing snippets.
