Workshop

This hands-on workshop provides a practical introduction to Temporal Network Analysis (TNA) — a powerful approach to studying dynamic learning processes and interactions over time. Participants will gain methodological insights and learn how to apply TNA in their own research.

The workshop is especially recommended for PhD students and early-career researchers interested in data-intensive educational research, learning analytics, and methodological innovation.

Dr Mohammed Saqr is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF). He holds a PhD in Learning Analytics from Stockholm University, Sweden. Before joining UEF, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Université Paris Cité, France, and earned the title of Docent in Learning Analytics from the University of Oulu, Finland. Dr. Saqr established and currently leads UEF’s Learning Analytics (LA) Unit, known for its diverse methodological work and novel approaches. Dr Saqr has extensively published on topics like AI, learning analytics, network science, complex systems, and person-specific research, as well as three methodological books. He has given numerous keynotes, serves as an editor for various journals and conference proceedings, and has proudly collaborated with over 250 researchers from 40 countries.
